Ironically for December, this stump is the result of Treewise removing a “Christmas tree”, a balsam fir, from a garden in Sutton. We can cope with tree trunks of far bigger diameters than this as we have stump grinding machines with huge capacities. But a job this size isn’t too small. An unusual solution
This week, Treewise removed all but a tall stump of a back garden pine tree. This was because the client wanted the remains of the tree to to be turned into a carving. The carving was done by Danny Comms of Custom Wood Art.

Tree Surgeon’s Truck For Sale

The vehicle is a Ford Transit Crew Cab Tipper Tree Surgeon Truck, regsitered in 2008 with 132600 miles on the clock. Features include:
- Full electric-pack windows and mirrors
- Heated windscreen
- Automatic lights and window wipers
- Good, clean interior with no rips in the seats
- Front fog lights and rear led lights
- Full aluminium tree surgeon body with ladder rack, barn doors on the rear, and external fuel cage
The van has been with Treewise for nearly five years and, as the main business workhorse, it has been treated to money-no-object maintenance throughout that time. It’s been serviced every 10,000 miles, has six good tyres and up-rated rear suspension. The clutch is new and there are no engine leaks. The MOT on the vehicle isn’t due until April 2018.
